Ladies Spiritual Journey: July 10, 2009

Join Us in a Ladies Spiritual Journey

Recently Pope Benedict encouraged we, the faithful, to nourish ourselves with love of Christ in the Eucharist In his homily, the Holy Father explained that though we are inadequate due to sin, we need to nourish ourselves "from the love the Lord offers us in the Eucharistic Sacrament." Come share with other women a renewal our faith in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Pope Benedict says, "Such faith must not be taken for granted!"

There is always a strong temptation to reduce prayer to superficial and hurried moments, allowing yourselves to be overcome by earthly activities and concerns and remember that in the Eucharist, "heaven comes down to earth, God's tomorrow descends into the present moment and time is, as it were, embraced by divine eternity."

Take the time to travel a journey with other women. We will begin with Mass, One Hour of Eucharistic Adoration, Benediction at St. Victor Parish- Monroe. A ladies luncheon and fellowship followed by our Guest Speaker, Father Anthony Kopp, O. Praem. in Nilles Hall. Father Anthony will share several roads to and for vocatons: Are we being called? What is our vocation? How can we mirror Mary's example as mother, teacher, follower, and supporter of Jesus..who said 'yes' to His Father's Call?

Our Guest Speaker, Father Anthony Kopp, O. Praiem. is a Nobertine Priest associated with St. Michael's Abbey in Silverado,California. He is Vice Principal/Atheletic Director at Mary Star of the Sea school in San Pedro, California.
